4th Place Globally in the ISEF Competition

    May 15, 2026

In an honorable participation at the Regeneron ISEF 2026 exhibition in Arizona, USA, student Ahmed Mohamed Abdel Khaleq, from El Dabaa Advanced Technical School for Nuclear Energy Technology in Matrouh Governorate, achieved a global milestone by winning fourth place worldwide in the field of Embedded Systems. The project is based on developing a smart system using a drone equipped with radiation sensors that collect accurate data from the surrounding environment. This data is then processed to create 3D maps that show radiation distribution and pinpoint its sources accurately. The system also relies on advanced analysis techniques to help track and evaluate radioactive contamination areas, with the potential to support decontamination processes using specialized insulation and protection materials. This achievement reflects the excellence of El Dabaa School students and their ability to compete in major international scientific forums.
